Documentary Work

My documentary work includes self-funded feature films with international distribution to short documentaries exploring complicated issues within my own family.

After the Tide | Trailer

Exploring the pressing issue of coastal erosion and the severe threats faced from rising sea levels and inadequate government policies. The film focuses on the quaint village of Happisburgh, Norfolk, as residents' homes get closer to the retreating edge, they see communities deemed “more economically viable” receiving substantial defence investments. It underscores the dire situation across the UK, with thousands of homes at risk as national sea defences fail.

One for Sorrow, Two for Joy

Made over the third lockdown at the start of 2021, the film came out of a frustration that 2020 was stressful and creatively unfulfilling. Jenna is a fascinating character who's diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder creates huge struggles for her everyday life. The film examines how she copes with the disorder, some of the challenges she faces and how she uses her artwork to channel her emotions into something positive. The film hopes to show another side to the disorder and help to raise the profile of those living with it.

STOP at 60

Stop at 60 is a deeply personal project which I worked on for over 2 years. The piece speaks for itself, mental health is a complicated topic that can have devastating affects to families. In this specific case two families were ripped apart by the singular actions of one man, leaving the question, how does one forgive themselves for not doing more?

The way you tell your story makes all the difference.
